This Privacy Policy explains what information Thriftmap (the “Service”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at usethriftmap.com and our iOS app.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address and authentication details when you create an account.
• Subscription & purchase information. Whether you have an active membership and related identifiers. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Stripe (web); we do not collect or store your full payment card details.
• Location. With your permission, the app uses your device location to center the map and show thrift spots near you. Location is used to provide the feature and is not sold or used to track you across other apps or websites.
• Usage & device data. We use Mixpanel to understand how the Service is used (for example, screens viewed and actions taken) so we can improve it. This may include a device or installation identifier and basic app-interaction events.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the Service, process and manage your membership, respond to support requests, understand and improve product usage, and comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

We share information with service providers who help us operate the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it: cloud hosting, database, and authentication providers (data storage and account security), Stripe and Apple (payments), and Mixpanel (analytics). We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep account and subscription information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Your choices

You can control location access in your device Settings. You may request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us below; we will honor applicable privacy rights.

Children’s privacy

Thriftmap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
